For me Bash leaving was the right choice although from my interpretation of the beginning of this book he was supposed to feel bad. Let me start out with Kieran needing to pull his head out of his a*s and realizing that he made a mistake not shouting from the rooftops that he had someone as amazing as Bash. We are faced with the conundrum in this book of Kieran being blissfully ignorant as to why Bash left and Bash beating himself up over the choice to put himself first. The two men feel their intense chemistry ignite and learn that the real fire comes once the sheets cool and they have to decide what happens next. Bash accepts Kieran with open arms as he struggles with his actions after Kieran chooses to search him out in South Haven. Kieran doesn’t understand what went wrong and goes in search of Bash to try to learn what led to Bash up and leaving with no word. Bash has returned to his beloved South Haven to lick his wounds after falling hard and fast for firefighter Kieran Bailey. It includes steamy bedroom interactions, car rides exploring South Haven, a night out at the club with friends, and making decisions for their future.ĭare Me by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine is the second book in the Dare to Try trilogy. Overall, Dare Me was less frustrating than the first book, but boring in my opinion. Thankfully this time we didn’t have to deal with Kieran’s personality around his friends and coworkers, so that was a plus for me. Bash and Kieran together are sweet, fun, and steamy which carried over from book 1.

Kieran and his confusion over why oh why Bash would have left is frustrating, and I felt zero sympathy for him. At the end they have to decide where to go from here, whether that be a move for one of them or a long distance relationship.Īlright this book was 75 percent filler, and I’m calling it right now, this trilogy could have been one quality book on its own. When Kieran tracks down Bash, they talk it out and spend the next two weeks exploring their connection. This leaves clueless Kieran heartbroken and confused, and he drunkenly decides to buy a plane ticket to Bash’s hometown. I will keep my review as spoil free as possible, but my review is going to come as no surprise to those who know my thoughts on book 1.Īt the end of Dare you, Bash makes some very reasonable assumptions and immediately leaves Chicago and return home to Georgia.
